Child hangs himself while acting

A 12-year-old Saudi boy accidentally hanged himself while trying to take a shot of himself being hanged, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The boy tied a rope round his neck and hooked the other end to the ceiling of his room in the Northeastern town of Khafji.

Then he proceeded to take his mobile phone to click a picture. “He slipped and lost balance. He died as his neck was caught in the rope,” the Arabic language daily Okaz said, quoting police spokesman Colonel Ziad Al Rugaiti.

“He was trying to photograph himself to send the picture to his friend. We found a picture and message in his mobile phone.”
