According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) the Indian monsoon is the reason behind the cloudy weather currently witnessed in the UAE.
"Every year during the monsoon season, which is usually from early June until the end of September, countries in the Middle East and even parts of Europe become affected by the weather changes it causes, which include increased temperature fluctuations," the meteorologist was quoted as saying by Gulf News.
The weather will continue to fluctuate over the next couple of days and will remain hazy. Residents in Al Ain might experience low visibility range of 2,000 to 3,000 metres. A fresh breeze will bring a pleasant change to the country's residents who have been facing the scorching heat for some time now.
"Temperatures are also going to fluctuate over the next few days, with interior areas, such as Al Ain and the Western Region, experiencing 44C to 47C temperatures while the maximum temperatures in coastal areas, such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah will range from 37C to 43C in the coming days," the weather official told the daily.
Moisture content in the air will be around 10 to 25 per cent during daytime and 45 to 80 per cent at night.
