A mother in London is fighting for life after her teen daughter ran her down while she was practising reversing into a parking space.
Sue Duke, 41, was crushed between 17-year-old learner driver Lauren's Ford Ka and another vehicle, reports The Sun.
The mother was apparently helping her daughter park into the space when the car suddenly lurched backwards.
Sue had to be airlifted to hospital with head injuries. Doctors told the daily they fear she may have suffered brain damage.
Sue's brother-in-law Malcolm Mitchell said the accident in Rochester, Kent, seemed to stem from a tragic mistake by school leaver Lauren.
He added and the daily quoted: "She seemed to be practising reversing. We think Susan got out to direct her.
"She must have got the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal mixed up and pressed the wrong one."
