Global marine terminal operator DP World has announced the successful completion and official opening of Phase 1 of the expansion of its Spanish terminal, DP World Tarragona, a statement said.
Three super post-Panamax cranes capable of handling vessels with a nominal capacity of over 13,800 TEU (twenty foot equivalent container units) were also commissioned, adding to the two Panamax cranes and harbour crane already in use and boosting the terminal's overall efficiency, the statement added.
