Driver killed after ramming into pole

A Saudi driver died on the spot after ramming into a power pole in the Gulf kingdom and police said he had apparently lost control of the vehicle because of speeding.

The man was driving near a university in the Northwestern town of Al Jouf when his speeding car shot out of the road and crashed into the pole.

‘Ajel’ newspaper said the driver was killed instantly while the car and the pylon were badly damaged.
