Drugs have killed 30 people in Kuwait so far this year including two who died of an overdose on Sunday, a newspaper said on Tuesday.

Alwatan Arabic language daily, citing interior ministry figures, showed 12 persons died in May and April while the rest were reported dead in the previous three months. It did not elaborate on their nationalities but said some of them are Kuwaitis.

“Until Sunday, 30 people from Kuwait and other countries have died as a result of drugs so far this year,” the paper said.
