Dubai cops in 17.7 million pills bust

Dubai Police's Anti-Narcotics Department have foiled an attempt to smuggle 17.7 million pills of the illegal Captagon drug and arrested, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police and Ajman Police, three suspects.

Dubai Police Commander General Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazaina said at a press conference that the police received a tip-off about two containers in Jebel Ali Port carrying wood compressing machines to hide the huge stash.

Al Mazaina added that the police teams followed the containers while transferred from Jebel Ali to a warehouse in Ajman.

The police found 17.7 million Captagon pills in the warehouse and arrested three suspects. A fourth suspect is still at large.
