Dubai Safari: Ready for the magic? [video]

Dubai Safari, which will house a zoo, golf courses, entertainment areas and a butterfly garden, will be ready in the fourth quarter 2016, according to a senior Dubai Municipality official.
“The Safari is going according to a time schedule as 55 per cent of the project is almost complete and is expected to be ready by the fourth quarter of 2016,” said Abdullah Rafia, Assistant Director General for Engineering and Planning.
The project is considered one of the environmentally-friendly projects under current construction by the civic body and is expected to be a prominent entertainment landmark in the emirate.

Constructed opposite Dragon Mart on a 119 hectare plot of land, it will consist of a Safari Village, Arabian Village, Asian Village and African Village, Botanical garden, resort along  with educational and veterinary facilities. The estimated cost is Dh1 billion.

Ticket prices have yet not been disclosed.

Other attractions opening this year are Dubai Frame, theme parks and Dubai Opera.
