The General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police has refunded Dh70,821,000 since its inception in 2009 according to Lieutenant Colonel Saif Mohair Al Mazroui, Acting Director of the department.
Speaking to Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm, Major Al Mazroui said that the department stopped the use of 16 radar devices after they received complaints from motorists about the cameras.
He added: “We also rely on different evidences to prove if the offence is correct or no, including cameras that record the most of the irregularities in absentia. We also consider the record of the person,” said Mazroui.
