Eggatarian Alert: Egg-eating competition in Karama

For foodies out there, a new eggatarian café in Karama will serve nearly 100 varieties of egg omelettes in different flavours – chocolate, fruit, Indian, Spanish, Jamaican, French and Mexican.

For health-conscious customers, there are cardiac-friendly omelettes, egg soda and egg shakes, among other egg-based menu.

The new egg-speciality restaurant chain will have interior decorations of white and yellow and paintings depicting health benefits of having an egg a day.

Announcing details of the new café chain, Dr M.A. Babu, Managing Director, Zan Foods Global said the first outlet of the food chain will open on April 7, 2016, followed by 25 restaurants across the GCC and Africa and 100 outlets across the Asian region including Dubai and Malaysia by 2017.

The new venture also plans to open outlets in London and New York by end-2016.

It currently has 20 outlets in India and 10 more outlets are in the pipeline, Dr Babu said, adding that the first outlet opposite the Karama General Post office will serve, among other items, Japanese Omurice, beef burgers and quesadillas on the menu with eggs.

The outlets will also serve hot beverages, fresh juices and shakes.

The restaurant has tied up with Jenan Eggs for regular supply of fresh, local eggs, and the outlets will operate on HACCP Standards.

The Dubai launch of Egg Stop will be accompanied by Dubai Omelette Challenge – an egg eating competition for customers who are interested to have a jumbo omelette filled with mushrooms, salads in three minutes and win the meal free.
