1 killed, 5 hurt in UAE accidents in 2 days
One person was killed and three others sustained injuries in separate accidents in the UAE over the last two days, according to Arabic dailies.
In a run-over accident in Ras A Khaimah on Tuesday, an Asian man was killed as he was attempting to cross the street on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road.
He was run over by a vehicle driven by an Asian woman and died on the spot.
His body has been transferred to Saqr Hospital.
Meanwhile, five people were injured in three traffic related accidents in Dubai on Monday.
On Tuesday, five vehicles collided on Sheikh Zayed Road after the roundabout of the commercial centre tunnel towards Al Garhoud, injuring one person.
While on Monday, a speeding truck lost control and overturned while trying to navigate a bend on Al Ruwayyah bridge en route to Emirates Road. It crashed into an iron barrier, causing damage to the truck, the iron barrier and the signboard. However, none were injured.
In another accident, a truck collided with a bus on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road injuring four men.
They were rescued by air ambulance.
