Eleven people sustained serious to moderate injuries in two separate traffic accidents in Dubai on Monday.
The first accident happened on Beirut-Halab streets’ intersection when a speeding driver jumped the traffic light and collided with a pick-up.
Five passengers who were travelling in the pickup were injured in the accident, with two of them sustaining serious injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries. All the injured were rushed by a helicopter to hospital.
The second accident occurred on the Emirates Road after Al Rashidiya intersection towards Jebel Ali. Due to speeding, the bus driver lost control over the vehicle and swerved to another lane, colliding with a cement-mixing vehicle.
Five people were injured in the accident. Two of them sustained serious injuries, while the of the rest passengers suffered moderate injuries. All were rushed to hospital.
