15 years jail for 17 men in gun-sword fight

A court in the Eastern port of Khorfakkan issued a total 15 years jail sentences against 17 men involved in a violent fight in the city nearly six months ago.

The men, including 15 Emiratis, used guns, knives, cleavers and swords in the scuffle in which five of them were injured.

The court also ordered the deportation from the UAE of two expatriates involved in the fight, newspapers said.
