19-year old girl falls through building chute

A 19-year-old Indian girl suffered from serious injuries after plunging from the third floor through the building chute in Sharjah, according to police.

The girl was rushed to Al Qassimi Hospital where she was admitted to the intensive care unit, the semi-official daily Al Ittihad quoted police officials as saying.

The police are investigating how the girl fell into the chute of her building in Umm Al Tarafa area.

“A police source said the investigation involves the girl’s family and an Indian man to check if the girl threw herself into the chute,” the paper added.
