2,500 CCTV cameras for Abu Dhabi schools
Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) plans to install 2,500 closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras in 40 government schools in the Emirate in the third semester of the current academic year, the ‘Al Khaleej’ Arabic daily newspaper has reported.
Adec had earlier installed 5,000 surveillance cameras in 85 schools.
After the third semester, there will be 7,500 cameras in 125 schools in Abu Dhabi, Adec said.
The cameras are intended to control behaviour of students in schools.
