2 Asians saved from drowning off RAK

The Ambulance and Rescue Team of Ras Al Khaimah Police has rescued two Asian youths from drowning in the sea.

Brigadier Ghanem Ahmed Ghanem of RAK Police said the two youngsters in their twenties had an accident while water biking off the coast of the Emirate.

Brigadier Ghanem said an ambulance and rescue team was despatched within three minutes of receiving information about the accident.

The youths were suffering from severe fatigue when they were found. They had swallowed a lot of sea water because they did not know swimming.

The rescue people were first taken to the beach and then to hospital.

Brigadier Ghanem urged jet ski users who do not know swimming to wear life jackets and not to stray too far from the beach.
