2-month-old’s body found in Sharjah lagoon

A two-month-old boy’s body was spotted floating in Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoon, according to media sources.

Police were tipped off about the incident when a passerby saw the body afloat in the lagoon near the Holiday Inn Hotel and contacted them immediately.

However, the cops say that they have witnessed such a case for the first time and it is one of the strangest things that they have come across.

Once the police was informed, the child’s body was brought out of the water and rushed to Al Qassimi Hospital for a medical checkup.

The forensic department will later investigate the cause of the death.
