22 children get citizenship in Ras Al Khaimah

Lt. General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, Interior Ministry's Assistant Under Secretary for Naturalisation and Residency on Monday handed citizenship documents to 22 children of Emirati mothers.

The move is in line with the decision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to grant sons and daughters of Emirati mothers the citizenship and the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan to speed up implementation of the President's decision.

Al Minhali said the 22 citizens represent the first batch of the 930 beneficiaries across the country who met the requirements and reached the age of 18 years or above.
