The Vehicle test Centre at Al Salama Main Building in Abu Dhabi will work for 24 hours, while other test centres in the emirates will work for extra two hours from Sunday to Thursday, Vehicles & Drivers' Licensing Department (VDLD) at the Abu Dhabi Police has announced.
Under the new timings, working hours at Al Salama Building have been extended to 24 hours daily. Other Al Samala buildings in Musafah, Bani Yas, Al Samha, Al Ain and Al Hayar will be working in a straight shift from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Head of the VDLD Colonel Suhail Al Khaili said the decision to extend working hours at the centres was made to absorb the increase in the number of vehicles required to undergo mandatory technical testing before renewal of their registration and to improve quality of service offered to citizens and residents alike.
