25,000 labour cases in Dubai in H1 2015

Dubai Courts’ Labour Cases Section received about 25,000 cases during the first half of this year.

Hamad Abdullah Ali, head of the section, noted that on busy days, the section handled about 300 clients.

“We are receiving increased number of labour complaints. The section took all needed procedures to meet the increased numbers. We are keen to help complainants and to help finish their cases quickly," said Ali.

But the tries its best to persuade the parties to the dispute to settle it before opening a case file, he noted.
