26 judges sworn-in before Sheikh Mohammed

Twelve judges at the Dubai Courts and 14 judges at the The Rental Dispute Settlement Centre were sworn-in on Tuesday before Vice President and Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, at the Zabeel Palace.

Taking the oath before Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the new judges vowed to uphold justice, respect the law, perform their duties with integrity and devotion, and remain committed to honest practices as judges.

Sheikh Mohammed wished the new judges success in their assignments and in their mission to ensure justice for litigants.

All people are equal, regardless of their nationality, race or countries of origin, he stressed.

He further stressed the importance of establishing the principles of tolerance and settlement between litigants at courts because reconciliation is the best ruling in most cases.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC); Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group; Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Ruler’s Court; Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director-General of Dubai Courts; Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol.
