3 kids left in car saved by hospital staff

A senior employee at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah saved the life of three children aged between two and seven years after they were left by their father in the car in soaring summer temperatures on Wednesday.

Naeema Al Nakhi, head of the social services at the Hospital, rushed to the car with an office boy and carried the three children inside after they were seen by a doctor coming to duty just before mid day.

Naeema, quoted by Albayan daily, said she found two sisters, 2 and 3 years old, crying while their seven-year-old sister was also in the car suffering from heat.

“I rushed them inside with the help of the office boy…we gave them water and left them in a cool room,” she said.

The paper said police in the Hospital summoned their father, who said he left his children in the car with open windows to have tests in the hospital.
