4-year-old falls from mall escalator in Dubai

A 4-year-old Saudi boy had a lucky escape when he fell from atop an escalator in a mall in Dubai on Saturday, reported 'Al Bayan'.

No sooner than the civil defence received information than an ambulance was rushed to the mall and the child administered first-aid.

Khalifa Al Darai of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services said that the ambulance reached the site within six minutes.

The child suffered a broken leg. He was transferred to hospital for further treatment.

Al Darai urged parents to take care of children, especially in public places such as malls.

The little boy reportedly got onto the escalator while his parents, who are on a visit to Dubai, were not with him.
