The latest deals on air tickets have come around at a time when many in the UAE are looking for a short getaway end of this month because of Eid Al Adha.
The country’s private sector generally gets three-day paid leave for Eid Al Adha from the 9th of Dhu Al Hijjah to 11th of Dhu Al Hijjah.
According to astronomical forecasts for 2015, the 9th of Dhu Al Hijjah (Arafat or Hajj Day) may be Tuesday, September 22. So, the private sector employees can expect Eid holidays from Tuesday until Thursday.
This, when coupled with the two-day weekend, the private sector can expect 5-days of holidays – from September 22 until the 26th of the month.

With this five day period in mind, many residents are expected to take advantage of this short vacation to travel to another country. And, with deals being run by most airlines, this holiday can get a bit more affordable on the pocket.
Emirates airlines is offering special fares until September 10 for travel between September 3 and the December 10.
Special fares have been listed to many destinations across continents. An economy class ticket to popular cities in Europe like Frankfurt is priced at Dh2,585; to Geneva at Dh3,445; to London Heathrow at Dh2,865 and to Zürich at Dh2,795, among several other destinations in the region.
Many Asian cities like Ahmedabad (for Dh1,315), Bengaluru (for Dh1,245), to Colombo (for Dh1,395), to Islamabad (for Dh1,465) and Karachi (for Dh1,055) also come under the offer.
Besides this, return fares to several destinations in the US and Canada, Pacific, Africa and the Middle East are also included in the extensive list.
Etihad too is running a 96-hour seat sale in its economy and business class to some of their popular destinations worldwide. This sale ends today, September 3, 2015, for travel between September15, 2015 and June 30, 2016.
Destinations that have discounted fares include Mumbai for Dh819; to Bangkok for Dh2,015, to Manila for Dh2,165, to Munich for Dh2,635, to Geneva for Dh2,745 and to San Francisco for Dh5,025. These fares are for return flights that originate from Abu Dhabi.
