A 50-year-old Pakistani man is accused of attempting to molest an eight-year-old child in the grocery where he works.
As the child got off the school bus and was walking towards her building, the accused approached her and led the girl into the grocery - also located in the same building, reported 'Emarat Al Youm'.
The father of the child alleged that the man took his daughter behind the row of shelves and started to misbehave with her, when two Arabs walked into the grocery. They asked him why he was holding the child and he didn't have a clear answer. Meanwhile, the child took the chance and ran away.
The accused has denied the charges. He said the child's family is fabricating the story.
The court has adjourned the case until the month-end to hear witnesses.
