7 phone fraudsters nabbed in Sharjah

Sharjah Police has arrested seven Bangladeshis for telephone fraud.

Police said the arrested people use to phone people to tell them that they had won big cash prizes in a lottery by a UAE telecom company. They would ask their victims to transfer mobile phone credits to them to be able to claim their ‘prize.

The fraudsters were caught red handed and 40 mobile phones and 341 Etisalat and du sim cards were seized from them.
