A total of 47 men, who violated the terms of their residence visas, and 27 women, who absconded from their sponsors, have been referred to the relevant authorities where they will await the legal actions that have been filed against them.

The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Department in Ras Al Khaimah, conducted a search campaign based on a tip about a number of violators of different nationalities.

This group of violators was making a living by emptying small-sized gas cylinders and manually filling them in larger-sized cylinders and selling them in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The clampdown resulted in the arrest of six violators; they have also been referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in order for legal action to ensue against them.

Colonel Ali Ibrahim Al Tunaiji, Head of Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Department, stressed that these campaigns are part of the department and other state level divisions’ efforts to curb intruders and violators of the Law of Entry and Residence of Foreigners.

He added that the campaigns to apprehend the violators of the Law of Entry and Residence that are currently implemented will continue, and will be intensified in different regions and districts at the state level.
