Abu Dhabi hospital opens kidney and dialysis unit

Abu Dhabi-based Universal Hospital, a multi-speciality 200-bed health facility with advanced infrastructure equipment in all departments and 24 hours emergency and ambulance services, has inaugurated its Kidney and Dialysis Unit.

The Unit is the first of its type in the private medical sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is a state-of-the-art unit created on the basis of international standards to offer various dialysis treatment and intensive care around the clock, a hospital press release said.

Inaugurated by T.P Seetharam, Ambassador of India to the UAE, in the presence of hospital's specialit nephrologists, the unit in addition to dialysis to needy patients will aggressively run a kidney education programme to educate the public about the need of early diagnosis and proper management of kidney disease so that the need for dialysis is reduced.
