The Abu Dhabi Police plan to soon exhibit the stunning car, produced by the Lebanese-based company W Motors, which is Arabic in spirit, at various tourist locations and malls across Abu Dhabi. The car is featured in the latest ‘Fast & Furious 7’blockbuster, which filmed scenes in Abu Dhabi, showcasing the potential of the emirate’s architectural features, diverse filming locations, rich and captivating landscapes, and the most sophisticated road networks and infrastructure in the world.
Captain Ahmed Abdullah Al Muhairi, Chief of the Traffic Safety Section at the Traffic Engineering and Safety Department, the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, said that leveraging the stunning Lykan Hypersport car in the awareness programme, all dressed up in Abu Dhabi Police patrol cars’ livery, represents a distinguished approach to establish new concepts for awareness-raising work. “This marks a shift from the traditional approaches towards developing new social-centered initiatives, and ensuring full participation in the various social, cultural, and sports activities,” he continued.
Captain Al Muhairi also noted that objective behind displaying this stunning car is to raise awareness among young people and to send a comprehensive message to families and segments of society; to boost their traffic safety culture; acquaint them with the risks associated with traffic violations and accidents; and to encourage them to cooperate with the police in their effort to reduce accidents through innovative methods that highlight the negative effects of not adhering to traffic guidelines, laws, and instructions.
It is worth mentioning that the Abu Dhabi Police had recently displayed the luxury Rolls-Royce Phantom at a number of shopping centers to promote the Gulf Traffic Week activities; and to educate and raise traffic awareness among the public. Also on display were two impressive Chevrolet Camaro SS and a Nissan GT-R; along with the "Polaris" quad bike, and the Harley Davidson.
