A fire which broke out in four warehouses in Abu Dhabi port on Thursday has been put out by police and Armed Forces teams.
Emergency teams were able to stop flames from spreading to adjacent warehouses.
"The fire was quickly contained and the injured were treated for suffocation at a makeshift hospital set up at the scene," said Director General of Civil Defence Col. Jum'a Al Dahmani,.
"The blaze raged as the warehouses had inflammable materials," he added.
Water was used to extinguish the fire and for precautionary cooling off of the place, Al Dahmani said.
