Air ambulance saves 7 lives in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing Department’s efficient and prompt services helped save the lives of seven people last week.

Air ambulances air-lifted five accident victims and two others to Al Mafraq, Ghayathi, Madinat Zayed and Ruwais Hospitals.

A 30-year-old Bengali, who was injured in a car accident on Hamim Road, was air-lifted to Al Mafraq Hospital after providing him with the necessary first aid. 

In another case, two Pakistanis, aged 35 and 30 years, who had sustained serious injuries in a car accident on Cemetery Road in Ghayathi, were also air-lifted to Ghayathi Hospital.

In the third case, the air ambulance airlifted a Gulf national whose deteriorating health condition required him to be transported from Qasr Al Sarab Resort in the Western Region to Madinat Zayed Hospital. The medical team on board the air ambulance provided the necessary medical care to the patient throughout the flight till they reached the hospital.

In a separate mission, the Air Wing Department’s helicopter airlifted a 32-year-old Egyptian man and a 26-year-old Nepali man who had sustained burns when their boat caught fire in Ras Ghurab region. Both men were airlifted to Al Mafraq Hospital.

Similarly, a 38-year-old Bengali man, whose deteriorating health condition required him to be immediately admitted was transported to Madinat Zayed Hospital.

The medical team on board of the Air Ambulance provided the necessary medical treatment to the injured and patients to stabilise their condition during the flight to the hospitals.
