Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a part of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), today announced the Al Ettihad Urgent Care Center will reopen on July 21, 2013 as a healthcare facility offering high end family medicine services over extended working hours to both walk-in patients and those with prior appointments.

This change coincides with the closure of Al Manhal and Al Mushrif Healthcare Centers on July 19 and will provide Al Manhal and Al Mushrif patients with a conveniently located alternative. The recently renovated Al Ettihad Healthcare Center will offer the same services previously provided at Al Manhal and Al Mushrif Healthcare, in addition to radiology services.

As of July 21, all patients that require urgent attention are advised to visit the Khalidiya Urgent Care Center, while patients with emergency cases are required to visit Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Emergency Department.

Mohamed Hawas, acting CEO, AHS, said: “Our overarching endeavor is to provide patients with high quality services that meet international standards. In order to ease the transition of shutting down both Al Manhal and Al Mushrif Healthcare Centers, we are running a series of awareness campaigns to highlight the alternative facility – Al Ettihad Healthcare Center. We are advising our patients that the newly opened center is located in close proximity to both the communities and will offer upgraded services. We are also informing our patients that the medical staff of both the centers will be shifted to Al Ettihad Healthcare Center.”

Commenting on the shift, Dr. Omar Al Jaberi, acting Chief Medical Officer, said: “At AHS, we are committed to offering the latest technologies and services at our facilities. As part of this priority, Seha is currently building a new fully equipped facility to replace the Al Mushrif Healthcare Center. This is expected to be operational by 2016.”

Operational from Saturday to Thursday from 8:00am - 11:00pm and on Fridays from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, the highly qualified medical staff at Al Ettihad Healthcare Center will offer holistic patient care services including consultation and referral, diabetic education, radiology, pediatrics, general and minor surgery, laboratory, mother and child health, patient and family health education, pharmacy, public health education, screening, vaccination, "weqaya" screening, women's health clinic and chronic disease, a well-baby clinic, and pre-employment screening.
