Dubai’s Al Khail Road leading towards Abu Dhabi is chock-a-block with traffic moving at snail pace from Business Bay to Umm Suqeim Street.

Motorists driving on Al Khail Road told Emirates 24l7 that they were driving at a speed of less than 10 kilometres per hour where motorists can drive up to 120 kmph. The reason for this traffic jam was not clear till the filing of this report at 7.45pm today.

“There is a long queue of vehicles on Al Khail Road and the traffic is moving at snail pace as far as I can see,” a motorist said.

A police vehicle was spotted driving around on the Al Khail Road but that too disappeared after monitoring the traffic jam. However there were no reports of any major accident at the time of filing this report.

Four people died and four others were injured in separate accidents in Dubai in the last five days.

On Tuesday two cars collided on Oud Mehta Road killing one and injuring two others. On the same day on Ras Al Khor, a car ran over a pedestrian injuring him, said Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, Director, General Directorate of Traffic.
