American woman jailed for abusing police officers

The Dubai Misdemeanours Court sentenced an American to one month in jail for insulting and abusing a public servant.

JSW, 32, was also ordered to pay the value of the damage she caused to public property.

According to the Prosecution, on August 8 the convict assaulted and cursed three police officers who were on duty at Dubai International Airport.

She also allegedly broke a door allocated for people with special needs.

The American denied the charges.

In a previous hearing JSW denied abusing the policewomen and said that there was a misunderstanding of a phrase she used, containing a specific and common expletive beginning with the letter ‘f’.
