The Arab Thought Foundation announced the theme and agenda of its annual conference “Fikr12” in Dubai, UAE, titled “Job Creation: 80 Million Jobs by 2020 in the Arab World” on 4th and 5th December 2013 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
“The Fikr Conference represents an ideal platform to integrate the efforts of governments, private and all social organizations in the efforts to find creative solutions towards developing new job opportunities in the Arab world as well as encouraging them to lead the initiative in this vital challenge and contribute to the development process,” said Hamad Al Ammari, ATF Deputy Secretary General & Fikr Conferences Executive Director.
Al Ammari explained that the current edition of the Fikr Conference adds a new intellectual dimension to the topics that were discussed in previous sessions. This year's title touches the major challenges that face the Arab citizens in the labor market. He added: “Job creation should be the primary ultimate concern of all Arab Governments, for that when we secure jobs we preserve the dignity of our citizens.
The Arab Thought Foundation is organizing a press conference in Beirut on Thursday 21st November 2013, which will witness the announcement of the winners of “The Arab Creativity Award & Most Important Arabic Book - 2013”, with a total monetary value of $450,000, in addition to the detailed conference program.
The Arab Thought Foundation organised its 11th conference "Fikr11" under the theme: “Citizens and Government: Future Vision”, which was attended by a large number of businessmen, intellectuals and thinkers, as well as participants from all over the Arab World.
