Arab woman drunk on RAK road blames hubby

An Arab woman caught swaying on the road in Ras Al Khaimah told police she drank alcohol because she was very upset after her husband married another woman.

Passers-by called the police when they noticed the woman was not normal and was swaying on the road near her house in the northern emirate.

“She admitted having alcohol and told police she did so after learning that her husband in her home country used her absence to work in the UAE, to marry another woman back home,” the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej said, adding that the woman would stand trial on charges of drunkenness.
