The case concerning an Asian businessman who was struck to death inside a restaurant by a Gulf national, was heard at the Dubai Criminal Court on Sunday.
The accused denied the charges in court, saying he did not intend to kill, reported Arabic daily ‘ Al Bayan’.
According to the report, the accused was having dinner with a girl at a hotel in Al Soufouh area when he saw the deceased take pictures and suspected that he was photographing them.
The accused picked up an argument with the deceased, who claimed he was taking pictures of his colleagues.
The accused punched the businessman on the face and he dropped down unconscious, the report said.
He was rushed to hospital but later died of cerebral hemorrhage, cited forensic report.
