Asian wife kills husband during fight at Abu Dhabi home

An Asian woman stabbed her husband to death during a fight at their home in Abu Dhabi but she told court she had no intention to kill him.

The woman, who has been on trial on murder charges, said she fled to the kitchen and pulled a knife after her husband started to beat her up.

She said she then fled to the bedroom but he chased her and continued hitting her before she stabbed him to defend herself.

“She told court that the knife pierced into his body and he fell down. She said she was frightened and call an ambulance,” the Arabic language daily 'Emarat Al Youm' said.

After hearing her statement, the judge decided to adjourn hearings to Nov 19 to allow the defendant to get a lawyer.
