Book on young Asian achievers released in Dubai

UAE-based publishing house Xponent Media  released a book titled ‘Young Asian Achievers’ chronicling the success stories of 25 expatriates from eight Asian countries in various socio-economic domains, at Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai on December 12.

The 165-page book was launched by Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Al Ghurair, who is also chairman of the Al Ghurair Group and a board member of Dubai Economic Council, presented a copy of the book and a memento to each achiever featured in the first edition of the book.

Al Ghurair said: "As a business facilitator Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports all promotional publications that focus on Dubai’s business luminaries such as this coffee table book which highlights the achievements of young Asian business leaders who have benefitted from the attractive business environment offered by the emirate. Their growth is synonymous with the rise of the city which is today a global destination for business and commerce.”

Earlier, welcoming the gathering, the book’s author and UAE-based journalist Meraj Rizvi said the book highlights the life and times of young Asian achievers who have made their mark in the country.

The book on Asian expatriates achievers in the UAE highlighted those in the age group of 25-45, who have made a  mark for themselves in various fields– business, fashion  designing, journalism, social work, architecture and deejaying among others. The expatriates listed in the book hail from hail from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Afghanistan.
