Boy caught cheating at school test commits suicide

A 15-year-old Saudi school boy committed suicide by hanging himself at home after he was caught cheating in class, the Arabic language daily Alryadh reported on Tuesday.

The boy was found hanged by the ceiling fan in his room at the family’s village house in the western Saudi province of Alula and police ruled out any criminal activity, the paper said.

The unnamed boy is among 22 brothers and sisters as his father is married to three wives, it said.

“Friends said he had no psychological problems but they noted he killed himself in the evening after he was caught cheating in the examination at school in the morning,” the paper said.
