Breast cancer awareness campaign launched in Sharjah

A health awareness campaign targeting female employees at the Sharjah Museums Department has been launched by Sharjah Health Authority, SHA.

The campaign which was launched in collaboration with University Hospital Sharjah, UHS, is part of regular campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of early breast cancer detection in the Sharjah community.

Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of both UHS and SHA, said that the initiative aims to increase the chances for affected women lead a healthier and longer life.

Al Mahyan added that the hospital also set-up a "pink corner" to provide community members with information on breast cancer and the benefit of early detection.
