Butchers knife each other over slaughter

Two butchers knifed each other to contest for a slaughter animal of a client who had called in both on the first day of Eid Al Adha in Dubai.

The fight broke out when the butchers, both Pakistani nationals, arrived at the residence of a Pakistani man who sought them for the ritualistic slaughter on the holy day, reported The Gulf Today.

He apparently called the two, just to make sure at least one lands up. But with both of them there, and contesting for the rights of who would slaughter the animal, the butchers got into an argument and knifed each other.

Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Humaid Al Merri said one of the butchers called in a friend who also entered the fight and got injured.

A police team rushed to the team upon receiving a call, stopped the fight and took the injured men to Rashid Hospital.
