Dubai Police are appealing for public help to identify a man who was killed by a speeding car on Alittihad Road in the emirate.
Police said the man has Indian features with dark colour and whitening beard and moustaches. They said the body had been taken to the forensic section.
“Any one who has information about this man can call us at Muraqbat police station on 04-2660555 or at the police command on 04-6095555,” the police said in a statement carried by the Arabic language daily 'Al Khaleej'.
Drunk salesmen accused of misbehaving with women on road
Two salesmen are on trail for allegedly groping two Filipina on Khalid Bin Walid Street, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
JLJ, 28, testified that while she was walking with her friend JLA at about 11pm, two men (OJM, 29 and MSM, 28) approached them from the opposite direction.
“I noticed that two men who were walking towards us were drunk. I asked my friend to go to the right side. But they came towards us and one of them groped my breasts with his both hands and the other one did the same to my friend. We both shouted and I pushed the man down. But the other man came to me and beat me up. When my friend tried to stop him he pulled her hair and put her down to the ground. Hearing our screams some people gathered and the attackers ran away. My friend called the police and we followed the way they ran. We caught one of them."
Both the suspects have confessed to the crime.
The court adjourned the case for verdict until June 10.
Bachelor accommodation’ thief held in Sharjah
The 'bachelor accommodation' thief caught in Sharjah.
Sharjah Police has arrested an Arab man who is accused of stealing money and other things from bachelors while living with them in shared apartments.
The man would respond to advertisements for shared accommodation available and present himself as a person looking for a place to live. After moving in to a shared apartment, he would live there under a false name for some days before leaving after stealing money and other belongings of people living there.
Sharjah Police began investigations after receiving several complaints from bachelors living in shared apartments.
The accused admitted to committing several thefts, including a car, in Sharjah and Ajman.
He was also found to be in possession of several credit cards stolen from homes of bachelors.
