Car fire reported near Garhoud in Dubai

A car fire was reported on Tuesday morning on Al Ittihad Road, heading in the direction of Al Garhoud Bridge in Dubai

Eye witnesses reported the blaze around 11am, with Dubai Civil Defence authorities arriving on the scene to control the situation. A statement from Civil Defence is awaited.

Dubai Police meanwhile tweeted on its official Twitter account stating the 'accident' in Al Garhoud Tunnel had been cleared, following the incident, which saw traffic come to a standstill.
