A carpenter got 15 years in jail for sexually exploiting seven poor and needy girls and forcing them into prostitution.
The Dubai Court of First Instance on Sunday jailed the 28-year-old Bangladeshi accused, SR, to 15 years after he was found guilty of committing a human trafficking crime.
One of the girls, a 21-year-old Indonesian woman, suffered paralysis when she fell down while trying to escape from the third floor flat that SR ran as a brothel using a rope.
Prosecution records said police discovered the alleged prostitution den after the girl fell from the third floor where she claimed she was being forced into prostitution along with other girls.
According to the charge sheet, the defendant, along with two other suspects [who remain at large], formed an organised group of human traffickers. They abused the needs of the seven girls.
