Cleaner steals Dh8,000, blows it up in one night

Dubai Criminal Court is hearing the case of a Pakistani cleaner who is accused of stealing about Dh8,000 from his sponsor’s apartment.

The 23-year-old suspect reportedly told investigating officials that he spent the money at hotels and cafes in one night.

The incident came to light when the victim informed police about cash missing from his bedroom closet.

He added that only the accused had entered his bedroom to clean the place.

The suspect admitted to taking the money while he was cleaning the room.

Court adjourned to May 5, while the accused continues to be in jail.
