The secondary education system in the country is likely to get a boost as the authorities concerned are planning a complete revamp of the process.
Dr Moghair Khamis Al Khaili Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council revealed that the council is currently in talks with the Ministry of Education and the Institutes of Applied Technology to review the secondary school system, according to Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm.
The idea is to make the system a little more productive by giving students options to choose between the six or seven subjects.
The system would give students a chance to choose their favourite subjects and activities, allowing them to develop their skills in their preferred way.
Al Khaili said various educational institutions are participating in the integrated project, which will soon be considered by the Ministry of Higher Education.
