Fishermen in Dibba Fujairah stumbled across a dead body of an Asian man floating in the water while on a fishing trip off the eastern town.
The fishermen found the body on Sunday night and reported it to the police, who took the corpse to the coroner for autopsy to identify the man and the cause of death.
The Arabic language daily Alkhaleej quoted police sources as saying the man could have fallen off a ship and drowned.
