The UAE’s top court upheld a lower court sentence to fine a man Dh10,000 on charges of abusing a woman on social networks online.
The man was found guilty of sending insulting words to the woman through social networks, but he appealed the sentence.
Another court supported that verdict, prompting him to appeal with the Federal Supreme Court, which upheld the sentence.
