Dh300 fine for leaving car engine running in Sharjah

Motorists in Sharjah will be fined if they leave their vehicle engines running when parked.

This is part of the Sharjah Police campaign to reduce the increasing number of thefts in the emirate.

The move also aims to educate motorists about child safety.

The campaign will run for two weeks, said officials.

The fine is imposed according to Article 62 of the Traffic Law issued by the Ministry of Interior.
